Are We Being Set Up?
OK, I have as much of a “conspiracy” mentality as a whole lot of folks and that part of my thinking process is wildly raising a red flag! In responding to the question, she felt it necessary to prove her point by referring back to the 70s when she saw how “heated rhetoric led to the assassinations of San Francisco Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk by a disgruntled former supervisor on Nov. 27, 1978.” which also included a lot of anti-gay stuff too, and yet, she had absolutely nothing to say about how thousands upon thousands of people just PEACEFULLY marched through downtown Washington, DC! Excuse me…have I missed something vital here?!
I remember back in the 60s when things really got out of hand all over the US! Anti-war rhetoric that absolutely got some folks killed and a whole lot injured. I happened to be in the Navy at the time so it got pretty up close and personal with me. I came home on leave one time, flying from Washington, DC to San Francisco right in the midst of that storm and I was in uniform. If looks could kill, you would not be reading this blog right now. I’ll be honest, it really scared me. So much so that I took my hat off, unbuttoned my jacket and loosened my tie…..all of which was a real no-no….it’s called “being out of uniform” and it is a write-up offense. At that point in time though I was more prepared to deal with a write-up then I was cat-calls and looks that were murderous. And, I wasn’t home 24 hours until I was back in flight heading for the safety of the Base where I was stationed! I remember it like it was yesterday and Pelosi is “choking up”! Oh, do give me a break!
So here’s where my “conspiracy” corner of the brain is kicking in. What if someone just got that bit on TV and didn’t check it out to be sure so decided based on that little bit of rhetoric that there really was a reason, or someone thought there was, to cause “civil disobedience”. That person gets on the phone and goes “I heard…..” and the “pass it around” gets started. You know how that works, dontcha! A little flicker of misinformation or hints and the next thing we know, we have full scale riots going on but no one can say how it all got started. Too late. Rioters are rioting, cops are catching who they can and buildings are burning….all because Nancy Pelosi had to play the :teary-eyed broad” role and hint that folks were getting stirred up!
She should just SHUT UP!
